Ulster Unionist MLA Tom Elliott has responded to comments by Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams who told today's Impartial Reporter that “republicans have no wish to hurt others” as his party prepares to hold a hunger strike parade in Derrylin on Sunday.
Responding to the comments, Mr. Elliott said: “If Mr. Adams doesn't want to cause offence, if Sinn Fein doesn’t want to cause offence, then they shouldn't have this event”.
Mr. Elliott also responded to the decision by the Parades Commission today to impose restrictions on Sunday's parade claiming it had given “misleading information” to families of IRA victims.
