Fermanagh Premier side clinched the county's first win at this year's Milk Cup as they secured their place their place in tomorrow's Shield final with a deserved 2-1 victory over Australian outfit Gold Coast Academy this evening.
First half goals from Timmy Boyd and Kyle Coalter was enough to send Derek Sharpe's side though to a meeting with Otago.
Fermanagh were the better side and took the lead through Boyd who tapped home after the Gold Coast goalkeeper had pushed a free kick onto the crossbar.
And the advantage was doubled when Coalter headed home to put Fermanagh in control.
Gold Coast did pull a goal back with ten minutes to go but Fermanagh saw out the remainder of the contest to progress to the Shield decider.
