A 10 mile challenge on Upper Lough Erne this Saturday, August 30, is set to go swimmingly for Jacqui McVicker, who is leading a team of Share Discovery Village staff.

Jacqui is planning to swim the 10 mile round trip from Share to Crom and back, while Damien Smith and Natalie Montgomery have pledged to share in the challenge - swimming and kayaking.

The Share 10 mile challenge team members will pursue their goal in aid of two worthwhile causes - Share Volunteering and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

People are encouraged to please show support to the team by visiting Share and making a donation via the sponsor sheets, at reception or the leisure suite.

Donations can be also made online on https://www.justgiving.com/Jacqui-McVicker-swim/ or supporters can come and wave the team off from Share’s jetty at approximately 8.30am this Saturday.

“You too can do the 10 miles but on Share’s Inishcruiser!” added a spokeswoman, who points out that the Inishcruiser has been leaving Share at 10.30am every Sunday in August.

She noted that this Saturday, August 30, Share will run a ‘Cruise from Share Discover Village and Dine at Crom Castle.’ The Inishcruiser will leave Share at 4pm. Booking is essential.

See tomorrow, Thursday's Mainly About People section in The Impartial Reporter, which features Jacqui's weekend challenge as well as other items of interest.
