YOU would need to have a heart of stone to pour cold water over the latest internet craze that has raised millions (and counting) around the world for a host of charities.
The Ice Bucket Challenge for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association, its UK equivalent, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and many others, has become a social media sensation.
The format is simple: you allow somebody to pour a bucket full of ice cold water containing ice cubes over your head and then nominate others to undertake the same challenge.
There have been over two and a half million ice bucket videos posted on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in a stunt that has received the backing of a host of celebrities such as Cheryl Cole and David Beckham and politicians, including Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and Fermanagh-south Tyrone MLAs Tom Elliott and Arlene Foster.
Indeed, as you can see from this video, many people have accepted the challenge and raised much-needed money for charity in the process.
