The start of a £165,000 resurfacing scheme on A4 Ballagh Road, Clogher, recently announced by Transport Minister Danny Kennedy, was starting today.

The resurfacing was set to start at the junction with Annagh Road and extend towards Clogher for approximately 1,040metres. The work is planned to be undertaken over a four day period; from today, September 12 to 13 and September 19 to 20.

“This scheme will greatly improve the running surface on this busy trunk road,” said Danny Kennedy.

A representative for the Department for Regional Development said to help minimise inconvenience to the travelling public all the work will be undertaken without a road closure but some delays will be unavoidable when the work is taking place. Temporary traffic lights will be operational during the works and some delays are expected. In the unlikely event of a change to the schedule any revisions will be publicised, noted the representative.
