Holders Roslea booked their place in the McMahon Healthcare SFC final as a strong second half performance took them past Ederney at Brewster Park tonight.

The first half was a tight encounter with Ederney's decision to play a sweeper and to put Marty McGrath at full back on Seamie Quigley paying off as they limited the influence of both Seamie and Sean under the high ball.

Roslea also registered seven wides in the first half although points from Shane McMahon, Kevin Cosgrove, Sean Quigley and two from Seamie Quigley had the Shamrocks a point to the good at the break, 0-05 to 0-04.

Ederney's points in the first half arrived from Aaron Dennison, Mark McCauley, Peter Gormley and Paul McCusker.

The St. Joseph's men were level early in the second half as McCusker fired over his second point and Seamie Quigley and Mark McCauley then traded scores as a tight battle continued.

The encounter swung Roslea's way though in the 40th minute as Seamie Quigley knocked over a free before Sean Quigley slotted home the opening goal, collecting a long ball from James Sherry before tucking to the net.

And it was game over with ten minutes to go as substitute Dermot Reilly bundled the ball over the line to make it 2-07 to 0-06.

Roslea were to control matters then to the end and points from Reilly, Ruairi McGuinness and two Seamie Quigley frees eased them through to the final where they will play the winners of tomorrow's other semi-final between Teemore and Devenish.
