2014 has been a year to remember for Murley Silver Band as members celebrate its 90th anniversary.
The Band, based in Fivemiletown, marked the occasion on Saturday evening with their reunion dinner in the Valley Hotel, where current and former members, their families and supporters gathered for an evening of food, entertainment and reminiscing.
Earlier this month, Murley Silver Bank along with Dungannon Silver, became the only massed silver band in the Belfast Tattoo in the Odyssey Arena, entertaining 12,000 people along with 700 other artistes including pipes and drums and flutes.
Current “Brass in the Valley” champions, Murley Band will be taking part in two major contests in October and November to complete an historic year.
