Ballinamallard remained ninth in the Danske Bank Premiership after going down 3-0 to Ballymena at the Showgrounds on Saturday.
The home side took the lead in the 21st minute when Tony Kane teed up Mark Surgenor and he fired past Stefan McCusker in the Mallards goal.
Whitey Anderson's side were close to levelling soon after when Johnny Lafferty beat Ballymena goalkeeper Nelson only for full back McBride to clear off the line.
However, Ballymena were to double their advantage ten minutes before the break when Surgenor bagged his second to leave it 2-0 at half time.
Jason McCartney and Liam McMenamin both went close for the Mallards in the second half but the home side made sure of the points four minutes from time when 15 year old substitute Matthew Shevlin tucked home.
