PUPILS at Ballinamallard Primary School will be among the many festive fundraisers taking part in Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children tomorrow (Friday).

The international children’s charity is asking members of the public to make the world better with a sweater by donning their most festive winter woollies and donating to their cause.

The initiative has received celebrity backing from stars such as Fearne Cotton and Mylene Klass.

So tomorrow pupils at Ballinamallard Primary will be doing their bit to help children less fortunate than them this time of year.

“Our parents group came up with the idea of getting involved,” explained teacher, Gillian Moore.

“We have been doing a lot of fundraising for the school recently, but, particularly because of this time of year, we wanted to do something for others.

“Some children have decorated their own Christmas jumpers while others have bought theirs.

“Everyone will make a £1 donation each on Friday and this will go towards Save The Children.

“The children who are making their jumpers of course are coming up with all sorts of creative ideas!” Are you taking part in Christmas Jumper Day?
