CANCER Focus Northern Ireland and Fitness and Performance Training (FPT) in Enniskillen have organised a six week health and fitness challenge to help you improve your health while also helping raise much-need cash for local cancer patients.

The Enniskillen Focus Fit challenge kicks off on Monday, March 16 at FPT, Unit 29, Erne House, Killyhevlin Industrial Estate.

Jonathan Cathcart, Personal Trainer, from FPT said: “We are really excited to have joined forces with Cancer Focus NI. The charity has a very active cancer prevention team and encourages people of all ages to become healthier, so this is a perfect fit for us.” “The Focus Fit challenge is designed to create a change in your life with full support and advice on fitness and healthy living. It is suitable for anyone aged from 18 and we will take on anyone from fitness fanatics to keep fit beginners.

“Over the six weeks we will work hard to help you become healthier and fitter – and we’ll have lots of fun too. No matter how busy you think your life is there is always room for exercise and looking after yourself better.” Sylvia Lucy, Community Fundraising Manager, Cancer Focus NI, said: “Studies show that being overweight can increase your risk of a number of cancers but keeping active and eating healthily can help lower your risk.” “We’ve run similar Focus Fit schemes in other towns and the people taking part have loved them. The challenge is free to enter but we are asking you to raise £300 in sponsorship for Cancer Focus NI. All the money raised will be spent on the services we provide in the local community.” For more information on the Focus Fit challenge contact Sylvia Tel 07789 757165 or sylvialucy@cancerfocusni.org.
