Fermanagh couple Keith and Suzanne Livingstone have once again scooped a prestigious award for their Monea made marmalades.

Gin & Tonic Marmalade and Irish Whiskey Marmalade both picked up coveted Bronze Awards at the World Marmalade Awards in Cumbria earlier this month. These awards attract almost 3,000 entries and the local couple were proud to see their delicious marmalade triumph against stiff competition from not only the UK and Ireland, but also Europe, Australia, the USA, India and Japan.

Keith and Suzanne say they are delighted to have won yet another award for their Baked in Belfast Marmalades.

“We will soon need bigger jars to hold all the award stickers as Gin & Tonic Marmalade already holds a Great Taste Award, reached the finals of The Irish Food Awards and attracted the attention of former BBC ‘dragon’ Theo Phapitis when he made us the first NI winner of his #SBS (Small Business Sunday) award back in 2012,” says Keith.

The couple report that business continues to boom for their Baked in Belfast brand which includes quirky, fun homemade marmalades and jams made with maximum flavour and taste.

Suzanne states: “Our products have shelf appeal. They have a bright homespun appearance, unusual flavours and a fun theme to make customers smile, but it’s all underpinned by a superb product. Winning awards like this reiterate that this fun brand is a serious business aiming for the top of the jam packed preserve market.” Award and festival organiser Jane Hasell-McCosh said: “The standard of competition this year has been outstanding and congratulations to Baked in Belfast on their Bronze awards.”
