Sean Quigley registered 0-14 as Fermanagh secured their place in the next round of the All Ireland Qualifiers with a comprehensive 1-21 to 0-11 victory over Antrim at Brewster Park today.

Pete McGrath's side got a grip on matters early in the first half and they never looked likely to relinquish it as the Ernemen put the defeat to Monaghan in the Ulster Championship behind them and put their name in the hat for tomorrow morning's draw.

The first half was an open affair but after an even first ten minutes Fermanagh took control of things to power into a six point advantage at the break, 0-11 to 0-05.

Fermanagh manager Pete McGrath opted to changes things up in his attack with Sean Quigley at centre half forward and Ryan Jones at full forward and this was to prove highly effective as Quigley gave a masterful performance in score taking.

The sides traded the opening four scores of the game with Quigley and Tomas Corrigan on target for Fermanagh and Michael Pollock landing two points for Antrim.

The Saffrons edged ahead when Owen Gallagher fired over but this was the only time in the game that Fermanagh were to be behind as the Ernemen responded by landing the next seven points.

Quigley notched a free before Barry Mulrone followed up with a point from play and when Quigley hit the next two scores it pushed Fermanagh into a 0-06 to 0-03 lead.

The lively Paul McCusker increased the advantage before Niall Cassidy drove forward from defence to score. And with Quigley then converting a '45 it put Fermanagh six clear, 0-09 to 0-03.

However, the introduction of Niall McKeever gave Antrim a boost and the midfielder rattled over their first score in 23 minutes before Justin Crozier quickly followed up with a point to make it a four point game.

Fermanagh though finished the half with the upperhand as Quigley rattled over a free and a '45 to put six in it at the interval.

Fermanagh continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over at the start of the second half with Quigley knocking over three of the next four points as Fermanagh stretched their lead to eight, 0-14 to 0-08.

Antrim did answer with Pollock and CJ McGourty banging over frees but Quigley and Kille hit back as Fermanagh maintained their stranglehold.

And with 16 minutes to go the game was put to bed as Marty O'Brien fired soccer style to the net to make it 1-17 to 0-09.

The remainder of the game was played out at a challenge game pace but Fermanagh continued to add to their lead with Quigley bringing his tally to a very impressive 0-14 while substitutes Conal Jones and Sean McManus also tagged on scores to leave it 1-21 to 0-11 at the finish.

The draw for the Round Three of the Qualifiers takes place tomorrow morning with Fermanagh to face one of Kildare, Longford or Roscommon. The tie is scheduled to take place next weekend.
