Dear Madam, - There has been a branch of Concern in the Fermanagh area since 1985. Since then the branch has raised thousands of pounds for the various humanitarian crises that have arisen. Concern is an interdenominational organisation. Different fund raising events were organised; table quizzes, concerts, sponsored walks and fasts but the annual street collection at Christmas and other times of the year was the chief means of income.

Since the inception of the branch the founding members have grown older (some are octogenarian) and now is the time for younger members to join.

To this end a public meeting is being called on Monday, September 28 at 7.30 pm in the Westville Hotel, Enniskillen to form a new committee. If you have any thing to contribute to Concern eg organising events, helping with street collections please come along. If you are recently retired this would be a good way to do some voluntary work. All current helpers are asked to attend.

Information about Concern can be obtained at www.concern.net . Please help the world’s poorest people to transform their lives.

Yours faithfully Eamonn Hoy
