A breeding ground for germs

Dear Sir, - I read with utter astonishment the planned proposals for cost cutting at the Erne Hospital by the Western Health Trust.

Does the Trust not realise that by not unblocking toilets and sinks they become a breeding ground for germs?

Someone comes to the hospital - let's say to visit, and who drives for a living, falls on a path that the Trust has chosen not to salt outside office hours, and breaks a leg causing several months of lost income - does the Trust think that person is going to accept it was a cost cutting necessity? That person is going to want recompense for lost income.

What about the elderly and infirm who cannot easily open the heavy doors within the hospital?

Considering it is so necessary within all hospitals to maintain absolute cleanliness, why do they also suggest not repairing sterilisation equipment.

These cuts are mean, vindictive and potentially dangerous, and if this is the best the Trust can do to save money then I have a proposal that the whole of the population of the area who has occasion to use the Erne, and I am one, sack the idiot/s who suggested these ideas and then the Trust would be able to use their salary to maintain a hospital that is already worn out and in needs of maintenance in many areas.
