Dear Sir, - I would like to offer my support and sympathy to the families of special needs children who are being ignored in their plea to keep Positive Futures open.

If ever there was a group that needed support it is this one. The work they do gives so much help to the children, and respite for the families cannot be takes away.

Positive Futures gives the children the chance to get out of the house, meet new friends and learn new skills. Where else would there be volunteers to give willingly of their time to take children out to shop and to the cinema? Their parents can let them go, happy in the knowledge that they are most importantly safe, and also enjoying themsleves.

They get bored at home all the time so if the funds are stopped there is going to be many disappointed kids, and it will put more pressure on mothers who may have other family to take care of.

I appeal to the Western Trust to search in every way in their power to move money around and keep this place open.

A lot of money is spent on unnecessary things in this country and it deprives groups like Positive Futures who are doing a lot of good work.

The families all work hard at raising funds but they need the Government's help, so please reverse this decision and make many families, now and in the future, very happy. I ask people to support this worthy cause. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Maureen McHugh

Kilturk North,

Lisnaskea.
