Best show to date?

Dear Sir, - May I, through your column, once again say congratulations to the lakeland Players on what must surely be their best show to date.

Every year they come up with something to surprise their audiences and this year was no exception. Julian Fowler's commentary on the dastardly goings on was a master stroke and this, coupled with the 'silent movie' footage of the princess growing up, has brought this production into a new realm.

The usual superb mix of comedy, colour, song and dance were all there, brought to life by a wonderful chorus and a wonderfully talented group of adult performers, some familiar faces and some not so familiar.

The choice of songs crossed all ages, delivered with great enthusiasm by a young chorus, great duets and a most surprising solo from a 'baddie' who proved that, unlike the title of her song, she was indeed very good.

Twenty five years of growing up in front of capacity audiences has put the Lakeland Players on the entertainment map, top of the game and still eager to please their public.

Well done, I hope you continue for many more to come and under the direction of Stephen Kettyles you just get better and better. Enniskillen, you have a jewel in the crown of entertainment.

Yours faithfully,

Panto Fan
