Clinic: why not leave well alone
Dear Sir - I am writing in regard to the imminent closing of the leg and ulcer clinic at the Day Centre, Tempo Road, Enniskillen.
For the last ten years I have been attending this facility and, but for the kind, caring and professional treatment available there, I would most probably be on crutches now or worse still be in a wheelchair. So why are they closing it down? All of us patients are old or middle aged who don't want the hustle and bustle of a busy hospital and we are more than happy to stay here. We are all of the same opinion that this is a step in the wrong direction.
At the moment we can be driven right up to the front door, we then walk inside and it is a short distance to the treatment room with no stairs to climb or any other obstacles to keep us back; in other words things couldn't be better, so we all say why not leave well alone?
Yours faithfully,
Ulcer patient
