Dear Madam, - I saw a post on the PNSI facebook page asking the public to tell on the offenders marking the roads which I thought was stooping a little low. We all know this is illegal but is this not antagonising the situation?

These are not young boy racers as the public like to label them, trust me I know. These are males and females of all ages. I know because I enjoy every minute of the diffin/drifting scene myself and I’m no spring chick.

These dudes change their tyres to road legal when finished doing this.

Now my reason for this letter is to make the public aware that these guys and gals would love nothing more than to be provided with a location here in Fermanagh to put on diffin/drifting and show ‘n shine events.

There NOT looking this for free as they would be more than willing to pay a reasonable entry fee assuming that this fee is donated to a local charity each time.

Our friends across the border do these events on a regular basis with the full support of their local Councils, the Gardai and their local communities and donate their money to local charities.

My question is for the PSNI and district council - why can’t you help put this in motion for your district?

Regular events or Sunday practice would take this off the roads and in a safe controlled marshalled area while raising money for local charities.

Yours faithfully, Wendy Lindsay
