DEAR MADAM - After reading in last week’s edition of your paper about Fermanagh and omagh Council’s decision to put Irish branding on their vehicles, I think it is just an absolute disgrace. Is this what we are paying our rates for?
As I see it we are living in the United Kingdom not Ireland. We pay taxes and rates to the above, so who gives the right to put Irish writing on the Queen’s vehicles?
All Fermanagh people might not support the Queen but we are living in the UK.
Have we no say in what is being done with our money?
It just doesn’t add up. It’s Fermanagh Council so where does the Irish come in?
Please Fermanagh, wake up before it’s too late.
Yours faithfully, A FERMANAGH TAX AND RATES PAYER
