Source of honour and pride for the County

Dear Sir, - What an honour and source of immense pride for this county of ours to have a daughter of Fermanagh as First Minister of Northern Ireland.

Over the last number of years, she has shown herself to be an accomplished politician, held in the highest esteem both in Ulster and further afield.

As a representative of Fermanagh, she has always done the county proud. Her career surely now eclipses the achievements of those who went before her.

In her new job, albeit for a number of weeks, I wish her well. Come May I hope she also has a new job, as MP for this area. Clearly Unionism has one clear political heavyweight to beat Sinn Fein. That is Arlene Foster.
