Victory eases pain of missing out on All Ireland Cup for Baxter

When Clogher Valley lost out to Enniscorthy in the All Ireland Cup final in February it was a painful experience for the entire club, but club captain Stephen Baxter felt that pain more than most as he missed out on a starting place on one of the club’s biggest days.

Clogher Valley suffered defeat in the opening game in the All Ireland League Qualifers in Dublin on Saturday, but joint coach Davy Black felt that his side showed enough quaity in the game to suggest that they are more than capable of competing at this level with two more games to come in the round robin competition.
