TEEMORE were narrowly beaten by Roslea in what turned out to be a real battle of wills.
and in the end Roslea's secured the win by the narrowest of margins thanks mainly to the expert free taking of Seamus Quigley was the difference – he arrowed over a number of brilliant dead balls in the second half to secure the two points.
The victory leaves Roslea top of the table having recovered from their opening day defeat to Irvinestown to win their next four encounters.
Roslea manager, Brian Gormley, was a relatively happy man at the final whistle: “I would say we were pleased with the result rather than the performance to be fair.
"We didn’t produce too much in terms of quality football but we dug in and got the win which was important.”
On his team's start to the season in general the former Tyrone star is not getting too carried away with the recent run of good results. He said: “I think we have been slow to get going and maybe that is true for a number of other teams in Fermanagh as well." There is a lot of football to be played yet and it is a long season ahead of us.

Roslea held a one point lead at the break with Shane Lynch, Danny Mohan and Seamus Quigley (2) all contributing points from play. For Teemore Eoin McManus contributed four points over the 60 minutes with John Fitzpatrick also contributing to the scoreboard in the first half.
The second half was practically score for score with Teemore drawing level on a number of occasions, but they were unable to push on. and secure any sort of dominance on the scoreboard.
For the home side Ciaran McManus and Hugh Brady were impressive in the full back line while the visitors had decent contributions from Conor Quigley and Niall Cassidy in their defence. with James McMahon coming more into the game in the second half.

John and Ciaran Fitzpatrick had points for Teemore in the second half with Ryan Maguire also chipping in with as score.
For Roslea Ruairi McGuinness split the posts as Seamus Quigley broke home hearts with his excellent free taking.
All in all the home side handled the Roslea attack well and will have been happy to keep them to nine scores but they did not pose enough of a threat at the other end. of the field to secure anything from the game.

For Teemore boss Tommy Clarke it was something of a harsh lesson for his side who have enjoyed a good start to life in Division One.
He said: “We would be disappointed not to have got something out of the game. It was nip and tuck the whole day but to be fair they hit some cracking free kicks in the second half. It was a real tight game and overall we would have to be very happy with how we have started the league, two wins two draws and losing to Roslea by a point, we'd have taken that.” he explained.
