Maguiresbridge 0-11
Teemore 2-14

Teemore picked up another win with this impressive nine point victory over Maguiresbridge. An even first half saw the minimum separate the sides at the break but the Shamrocks were to produce a super second half performance outscoring the opposition 1-10 to 0-05.
Teemore manager Tommy Clarke was happy with how his side had performed;
“There wasn’t much in it in the first half but we played well in the second half and put up a good show. It was good to get the win and we would be reasonably pleased with how things have gone so far and getting back to back wins was important, we just need to keep it going.”
For Maguiresbridge boss, Niall Jackman, this result sees his side remain second from bottom;
“It was tough for us. We just blew up a bit in the second half and they pulled away. It has been tough for us with players at hurling and with injuries but this is something that happens every year so we can’t complain. We just have to keep going.”
The Bridge were the better side for the first 20 minutes of the game and had built up a three point lead. Sean Corrigan and Daniel Teague were the scorers in chief for the home side as they looked dangerous in attack.
Teemore though came back and struck for a goal that changed the entire momentum of the game. A darting run up the sideline from Niall Clarke and a good diagonal ball fell to Ryan Maguire and he hammered home with a first time shot.
Maguire was in fine form throughout and he was to be a consistent point scorer in the first half when things were very even.
The second half however belonged to Teemore with the home side losing the influential Ronan Teague who picked up a yellow and black card inside ten minutes. Down to 14 men their task became harder although they did keep in touch early on with points from Rory Porteus and Emmet Rice.
Ruairi Maguire from his wing half forward berth clipped over a few points for Teemore with Eoin McManus coming more in to and the midfielder split the posts from both play and frees.
The game was put beyond doubt when the visitors swooped for their second goal with John Fitzpatrick the scorer.
Danny Teague and Sean Corrigan had sporadic scores for the Bridge but Teemore were on top with McManus in particular in fine form in the middle of the park for Teemore with Damien Lee eye-catching in defence and Jason McCaffrey picking up a sizeable amount of possession from wing half forward.
