Strule Utd 2 Enniskillen Town 6

Frank Wallace bagged five goals as Enniskillen Town produced a positive response to their derby day defeat to Enniskillen Rangers with a 6-2 win over Strule United on Saturday.
Manager Rory Judge was disappointed with the display against Rangers the previous week but was much happier with this performance.
“I got the response I was looking for. The boys were up for it from the very start and they chased and harried all over the pitch which was what we wanted from them. I thought we were very good going forward although we were still shaky at times defensively,” said Judge.
On Wallace’s five star performance, Judge added: “Everything he touched turned to gold. I think he had six shots at goal and scored from five of them, he was excellent.”
The visitors got off to a flying start as they grabbed the lead in the eighth minute. The ball broke to Ryan Hanna on the edge of the box and his shot through a group of players took a deflection and wrong footed the goalkeeper before trickling over the line.
If Town’s attacking play was high quality, defensively they were slack at times in the contest and four minutes after taking the lead they were pegged back as Kevin McAleer saw his well struck shot take a deflection off Darren McQuade which took it up over goalkeeper Mattie McGrade and into the net.
Town regained the upper hand moments later though as Wallace was sent racing through on goal and he made no mistake in steering his shot beyond Chris Burke in the Strule goal.
And the away side took a firm grip on matters as Wallace struck twice more before the break. His effort looped over Burke for Town’s third and the front man then headed in at the near post from a Stephen Chambers corner to make it 4-1.
Strule were given a lifeline when McAleer netted his second but Town were not to be denied and a super back-heeled pass from Ciaran Brough put Wallace through and he drew the goalkeeper before tucking home for 5-2.
Wallace then wrapped things up with the goal of the day as he registered his fifth goal. Conor Tummon was upended just outside the box and Wallace stroked a stunning free kick to the top corner to make it 6-2.
