14 members of the Splitz Gymnastics Club development squad recently travelled to Banbridge to take part in the first ever ‘Make an Impact’ gymnastics competition hosted by Dynamic Gymnastics.

The event attracted over 350 participants ranging from 3-18 years competing from novice up to advanced levels. Open to both male and female participants the gymnasts competed on a selection of apparatus including asymmetric bars, parallel bars, beam, floor and vault.

For many of the squad, this was their first time competing outside of the county and they did not disappoint with amazing performances which secured medals in every category entered by Splitz Gymnastics Club.

Head Coach Jennifer Hanna said: “The whole squad had a great competition and I couldn’t be prouder of each member of our team. Despite this being our first Artistic event the team were able to overcome some very tough competitors and shine through in all categories. We couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the gymnastics year.”

Splitz Gymnastics Club wish to thank all the parents and the volunteer coaching staff for their continued support whom without none of this would be possible.
