The Feile na nÓg proved a big hit last weekend as teams from throughout Ireland and much further afield descended on Fermanagh, Monaghan and Cavan for the popular national competition.

Games took place throughout Fermanagh over the course of the weekend with 252 teams and 6,000 players participating in the competition. In all there was 606 matches that included 32 finals and Feile Peil na nÓg Provincial Co-Ordinator, Brian Armitage hailed it as a major success.

“It was a great weekend and a massive success,” said Armitage.

“I have to say, the clubs were absolutely fantastic and I would like to thank the clubs, the club officers and the Feile Co-Ordinators within each club for helping to make it such a success.

“The clubs were a credit to Fermanagh and we’ve had great feedback from all over the world.

“The other thing about the Feile of course is that it is about making new friendships and relationships and I know there has been lasting relationships made between host clubs and visiting clubs,” concluded Brian.
