Ballinamallard Utd 4 Immaculata 2

Ballinamallard progressed through to a meeting with Ballymena United with a 4-2 win over Immaculata at Ferney Park today.

Debutant Sean Noble had given the Mallards an early lead but Immaculata hit back to level things through a Brian McCaul free kick six minutes into the second half.

Any prospect of a cup upset though was quickly put to bed by the Mallards as Ryan Curran put them back ahead four minutes later.

Stephen O'Flynn then saw his shot from the left turned into his own net by Immaculata's Billy McGovern before Curran rifled home his second of the day to make it 4-2.

A hard working Immaculata did grab a late consolation goal through Kevin McGovern but it was the Mallards who progressed through to an away game against Ballymena in the next round.
