Twelve rowers from Enniskillen Royal boat club travelled to National Rowing Centre in Cork last weekend to take part in Irish junior Trials.
On Saturday racing was delayed due to fog, the rowers raced in pairs with the boys pair of Odhran Donaghy and Nathan Timoney fastest of the 19 pairs.
The pair of Sam Balcombe and Jack McDade were third with Peter Murphy and Jack Kennedy finishing in eighth place.
The girls also competed in pairs on Saturday with Zoe McCutcheon and Maeve Donnelly finishing second behind the pair from Fermoy. Victoria Wilson and Caitylnn Fee were fifth with Caoimhe Leonard and Jessica Long finishing 11th out of the 19 who competed.
The top eight crews, boys and girls, from Saturday progressed to Sunday racing which was delayed again due to fog on Inniscarra Lake and the crews were mixed to race in fours.
Odhran and Nathan teamed up with a pair from Shandon Boat Club to take the honours in Race One and alongside Sam and Jack were the fastest four in Race Two.
Zoe and Maeve raced with the Fermoy pair in the four in Race One to win with a time of 7.36.6 almost 6 secs ahead of the next crew, they had to settle for second place when they were with the pair from Colaiste Iognaid.
Overall the athletes performed really well and the next trials will take place on the weekend of March 24-25 by invitation only. The rowers who are successful at Trials this year will row for Ireland in European Junior Rowing Championships in France in May, Home International Regatta and Coupe de La Jeunesse which are both being held in Cork in July.
