Tummery Athletic 2 Enniskillen Town 0 (aet)

Ruairi Sludden and Emmett McNabb netted in extra time as Tummery Athletic saw off Enniskillen Town to lift the Mulhern Cup at Ferney Park on Friday night.

In a tight encounter there was little dividing the sides throughout.

It was the Dromore outfit who had started the brighter although they never really tested Damian Wardman in the Town goal.

Town though grew into the game as the first half progressed and William Simpson was denied by a good save by Athletic goalkeeper Chris Catterson as it remained 0-0 at the break.

And it was Town who enjoyed the better of the exchanges in the opening period of the second half as thye got on top in the middle of the park although Wardman had to be alert to push a Cathal Beacom effort around the post.

Sludden then had a shot blocked by William Simpson while McNabb flashed wide from the follow up.

With four minutes to go though Town were reduced to ten men when Nicky Dunbar picked up a second yellow card and his lost was to be sorely felt by Rory Judge's side with Dunbar having been an impressive figure in the heart of the Town defence.

Tummery pushed for a goal in the closing minutes but where unable to make the breakthrough however four minutes into extra time they did open the scoring as Sludden turned home Niall Donnelly's cross from the right.

And they wrapped up the win in the final minute as McNabb latched on to a poor free kick to race in on goal and slot past Wardman as it finished 2-0 to the Tyrone outfit.
