With only two games remaining in this year's sponsored Home, Field and Stream Fermanagh league, Enniskillen's Wellington club hold the top two league positions in the premier section A.
The Wellington A team who had the number one position wrapped up at Christmas have maintained their unbeaten run, while their B team moved up to the runners-up position after a 'full house' against St Michael's A. Wellington B had a relatively easy passage against a disappointing St Michael's whose Paul Wilson came nearest to a victory when cruising against Wayne Knox's rink with 9 shots to 3 advantage but lost the last two ends and a total of seven shots to lose the game by a single 10 shots to 9.
Although Lakeland A won the two opening games against the reigning champions Wellington A, they went down conclusively in the remaining two to give Wellington the overall two points by 18 shots.
Lakeland B chalked up their third win of the season in their encounter with Magheracross, Jack Thompson's rink securing the overall with their 13 shots to 3 victory over the Ballinamallard side's rink skipped by Gary Brian after David Brian's rink had heavily defeated Lakeland's Ed McConnell by 14 shots to 8.
Tamlaght side Derryvullan moved up a place by virtue of their comfortable victory over lowly placed Mullaghdun while St Joseph's cruised to a 5 points to 1 win over Coa whose Tony Moohan collected the Coa's side only point of the evening when his rink romped home with a 11 shots to 2 win over St Joseph's Michael McGrade.
The contest for the number one position in Section B continues with only half a point between the top two teams, St John's and St Mary's. The Fivemiletown side moved into the leading position after a useful 4.5 points from their game against Gransha, a good result considering a number of their players were in Westport and unable to play.
Basil Stubbs' rink sealing the Fivemiletown team's victory with two runaway victories over Gransha's David McVitty and Esther Forster.
Cleenish moved into a respectable fourth place in this section after their four points against Kilskeery. The Cleenish team could well have featured in one of the two promotion places had it not been for three of their games during the season ending in draws. St Michael's B collected the maximum six points against Cavanacarragh in a somewhat one sided affair, the Enniskillen team coming under no pressure in all four games.
