All-Ireland semi-final on offer for ladies
Rose Donnelly who will be hoping to help send the Western Ladies into the semi-final.
Western Ladies play their quarter-final in this year's Inter-zone competition, this Saturday in the Unionist Hall, Enniskillen, with their opposition being the West Down zone ladies.
This game promises to be a close encounter with both teams having won the McElroy cup on one occasion each, West Down in 2005/06 and of course Western in 2007/08.
In the previous rounds of this year's competition, West Down who come from the Banbridge area, defeated East Antrim by 10 shots while Western disposed of South Tyrone and North West comfortably in both games
Western lady selectors have shown confidence in the team who defeated North West by 31 shots in the second round game in November by selecting the 'same again' with only a limited number of positional changes made.
Carmel McGovern returns to Jean Carson's rink from Ellen Brogan's rink t the number three position, with Janet Brown replacing Carmel, and on Esther Forster's rink, Rita Cranston and Lisa Mavitty change positions to number two and number three respectively.
Western Ladies fully appreciate the high quality of opposition they face on Saturday and realise that the team as a whole will have to be on top of their game if they hope to progress to a coveted semi-final place in this all Ireland competition.
