Enniskillen Town 5 Realta na Cromoige 1

Four second half goals from red hot striker Frank Wallace sent Enniskillen Town sailing into Round Four of the IFA Junior Cup with a 5-1 win over Realta na Cromoige at the Lakeland Forum on Saturday.
The Belfast side had taken the lead after 25 minutes but Town never looked back following Ryan Hanna’s equaliser just before half time.
And it was the Wallace show in the second half as he bagged four goals to follow on from his five goal haul in his previous outing against Strule United in the league as Town finished up 5-1 winners to seal their passage into the next round of the competition.
“You always aim to still be involved in the Junior Cup in the New Year and we’ll be hoping to go further than we did last year when we got knocked out in the fourth round. Ideally you would like to have a home draw,” said Town boss Rory Judge.
Judge felt that the turning point was the equaliser prior to half time and he was happy with the dominant second half display.
“We didn’t really play the conditions well in the first half but I thought we played with much more purpose after we fell behind and once we got the goal before half time we knew we were going in the right direction.
“The second half was very pleasing, we controlled the game and Frank obviously was in fine form.
“That’s nine goals in his last two games which is very impressive,” added Judge.
Town had dominated matters in the early stages of the encounter but they never really worked the visitors goalkeeper during this spell and with 25 minutes on the clock Realta na Cromoige struck for the opener.
Goalkeeper Matthew McGrade failed to control Gary Stewart’s backpass and the away side’s striker robbed possession before slotting to the net for 1-0.
Conor Tummon was guilty of wasting a glorious chance to level things when he failed to convert from close range but with 40 minutes gone the home side swooped for the equaliser.
Hanna got on the end of a cross from the left and managed to flick a header beyond the goalkeeper to the net to leave it 1-1 at the interval.
And it was all Town in the second half as they began to take a firm control of affairs.
Wallace netted his first of the game as he raced past the centre half before slotting home and Hanna should have increased the lead soon after but he shot wide from close in.
However, midfielder Hanna was to have a hand in number three as his challenge on the keeper resulted in a tap in for Wallace to put Town into a 3-1 advantage.
Wallace then completed his hat-trick as he tucked home from the penalty spot after Ciaran Brough had been fouled in the area, and Wallace grabbed his fourth and Towns fifth with a jinking run and shot to leave it 5-1 at the final whistle.
