Experienced goalkeeper Richard Brush is expected to be the first new arrival at Ferney Park this January with Brush having been training with the Mallards in recent weeks ahead of his likely signing for the club.
Ballinamallard manager Gavin Dykes has not hidden his desire to strengthen his squad in the winter transfer window with as many as four players expected to join the club on either permanent or loan deals next month.
And the Mallards vulnerability at the back has led to Dykes turning to Brush to fill the number one jersey.
The goalkeeper has vast experience having won league titles in the League of Ireland with both Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers while last year he was on the books of Finn Harps.
Dykes is more than familiar with the goalkeeper having spent ten years working with Brush at Sligo Rovers before then taking him to Finn Harps. And now the goalkeeper is expected to follow Dykes to Ferney Park for his first taste of Irish League football.
It is expected that Brush will sign an 18 month deal with the Mallards.
