The Ballinamallard U11s will have some tough fixtures at the Foyle Cup.
The 1999 age group coached by Robert Coulter will be eagerly awaiting their opening clash with Scottish Premier League giants Hearts at the 2010 Foyle Cup. This group of players represented Ballinamallard last year at their first ever Foyle Cup and they will be eager to impress once more at the week long tournament.
In their opening clash, the Ballinamallard U11 side will be facing last year's winners at the U11 age group, Hearts.
The U11 side will face the Scottish Premier League side at the Vale Centre in Greysteel on the Tuesday at 2.15pm. The young Mallards also face some tough fixtures against Letterkenny and Shankill Youth.
Robert was extremely happy with the draw for his side and believes that it will be an unforgettable experience.
"Our first game is against Hearts and this will be a great chance for the boys to pit their skills against an academy outfit like Hearts.
"Most of this side have been together for around six years now and I believe that one of our major strengths is that they all know each other really well."
Robert added that the Foyle Cup gives this young side the opportunity to play against some of the best teams in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
At this extremely competitive age group, Hearts FC and Werder Bremen from Germany compete.
"We are extremely hopeful of playing to our potential and this is the first time that we are actually staying away from home over the duration of a tournament. With the opportunity to face some top opposition and to play in one of the best tournaments in the United Kingdom should make it a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience."
