Manager of the Fermanagh Junior squad, George Elliott was complimentary of his squad's performance at the Northern Ireland Milk Cup.
"We played some great football at the start of the week and as the week progressed we perhaps became fatigued and at times towards the end of the week we struggled," he commented.
It was very much a mixed week for the junior squad with two fantastic victories over Brentford FC and Vaag from Norway. But also, the Fermanagh side were defeated by Russian side Spartak Moscow, County Down and Scottish side Queen of the South.
"It has been a fantastic week and it has been a great experience for this squad. We have had a big variation in the sides we have faced from the strong Russian side to the very technically gifted Norwegian outfit," said Elliott.
He continued: "In some of the games we were guilty of some basic errors and at this sort of competition you just cannot make those sort of mistakes."
George was quick to point out that this was a week in which the squad had all performed well and have developed as a group.
"Throughout the week everyone has had their fair share of football and everyone has had a good week. Kevin Curran impressed me and he is away to Plymouth Argyle for a trial. He is a talented footballer and I wish him all the best in the future. It has been a great experience for the squad and overall I am extremely happy with how the week has gone," concluded George.
