Enniskillen Town continued their 100 per cent start to the season with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Tummery.

Last season’s runners up never looked in danger and they dominated the contest once they took the lead after 12 minutes. Manager Rory Judge was delighted with the quality of football his side produced.

“We played some fantastic stuff,” he said. “We played really, really well. We always seem to do well down there, and we could have had three or four more goals. It was very pleasing. Our last game was a bit of a war of attrition but we got the shackles off us on Saturday and we played some lovely football on a fantastic pitch that maybe suited us. We are very pleased to start with two out of two.” After a lively opening to the match Gary Lynch started the scoring for the visiting side, running on to a Ciaran Brough pass and finishing coolly past the keeper. Town had several chances in the first half to add to their goal tally and Brough turned from provider to scorer to add their second when he ran on to a defence splitting pass from Ryan Hanna, before slotting the ball underneath the keeper.

Town had started with 16 year old Gerry Doherty in goal and the young goalkeeper made a couple of important stops as Town reached half time two ahead.

Town continued to look the better side in the second half and Matt McAuley added a third goal when he drove a low shot through a crowd of players and into the corner of the net. With ten minutes remaining Thomas Owens saw his initial shot well saved, but the rebound fell kindly for him and he followed in to add a fourth.

And the Enniskillen side completed their victory with a late fifth goal when Ryan Hanna scored from the edge of the penalty area with the aid of a slight deflection.
