The Fermanagh Milk Cup held their 2014 AGM on Monday, November 22 at the Westville Hotel and there was a good attendance at the meeting to hear about the 2014 season.

Chairman Dessie Kerr welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked a number of sponsors, supporters and organisations who year in year out support the Fermanagh Milk Cup.

Secretary Russell Wheeler provided an overview of the 2014 year in his report and treasurer Bernie Darcy concluded the meeting by issuing members a detailed financial report for the year.

Secretary Russell Wheeler had indicated at a meeting after the tournament that he would be stepping down as secretary and Ernie Conlon was voted into the position.

The vacant Vice-Chairman position was filled by Philip McKenna and all of the members wished the two new office bearers all the very best for the year ahead.

To conclude the meeting, Chairman Dessie Kerr said that he was keen for every club in Fermanagh to have a representative on the Milk Cup committee and it was agreed that letters would be sent to ever Fermanagh based youth team asking them to send a representative to sit on the committee for the 2015 tournament.

Subsequent to the meeting it has been confirmed that current Dergview assistant manager John Quinn has agreed to come on board as their new Director of Football.

Quinn, who has managed three County Fermanagh teams at the Milk Cup and been involved as a coach on a number of occasions, was confirmed as Director of Football following December’s committee meeting.

In his new position, Quinn will help to oversee the appointment of the managerial positions ahead of the 2015 tournament and following their appointment, he will be on hand to provide advice, feedback, give support and help to monitor the performance and development of the two squads.

Fermanagh Milk Cup chairman Dessie Kerr said that the committee were delighted to have the experienced coach on board.

“It is a great pleasure to be able to confirm John as our Director of Football. John has a great knowledge and vast experience at the Northern Ireland Milk Cup, the Irish League and the various youth leagues. We look forward to working with John during the interview and selection process for managers for the 2015 Dale Farm Northern Ireland Milk Cup.”
