Darren Teague, of league champions Strathroy Harps, is in the running for the Fermanagh & Western Division One Player of the Year crown after he was named on the three man short list released by the league this week.

Teague has been a crucial component of the Harps side that dominated the Fermanagh & Western in 2014/15, the Omagh side completing a memorable league and cup double.

He is joined on the short list by Killen Rangers experienced forward Andy Crawford, who returned to the Fermanagh & Western this season after a successful Irish League career, and Lisbellaw United midfielder Kyle McCleery.

In the nominees for Team of the Year, Enniskillen Town lead the way with four players included on the list while Strathroy, Killen and Beragh all have three players nominated.

Lisbellaw, Lisnaskea Rovers and NFC Kesh all have two players nominated while Enniskillen Rangers and Dergview Reserves have one apiece.

Last season’s Division Three Player of the Year, Christopher Currie of Enniskillen Athletic, is among the contenders for the Division Two crown with Irvinestown’s Liam Murphy and Jonathan O’Malley of Magheraveely making up the three man shortlist which leaves no place for anybody from champions Enniskillen Santos.

Santos do have three players nominated for the Team of the Year, as do promoted Irvinestown Wanderers but by far the biggest representation on the list is Magheraveely with six nominees.

The three contenders for Division Three Player of the Year are Christopher Gorman (Mountfield), Gordon Gregg (Erne Rovers) and David Long (Mountjoy United).

The two nominees for Young Player of the Year are Strathroy’s Ryan Mayse and last year’s winner, Killen’s Jamie Sproule.
