Ten man Ballinamallard returned home from the Showgrounds empty handed as a 90th minute goal from Jamie McGonigle secured all three points for Coleraine.
The Mallards took the lead in the first half when Liam Martin grabbed the opener, the striker bagging his second goal in successive games after also scoring against Portadown on Saturday.
However, manager Whitey Anderson was to have his birthday celebrations soured when his side were reduced to ten men when midfielder James McKenna was sent off early in the second half and the home side levelled things in the 70th minute through McLaughlin.
And there was to be late heartbreak for the Mallards as McGonigle found the net in the 90th minute to seal the win for Coleraine.
