Shane McDermott takes a hit as he shoots at goal during St. Pat's easy win over Kinawley.

St. Patrick's 1-17; Kinawley 0-06;

St. Pat's moved two points clear at the top of Division Two with a comprehensive victory over Kinawley on Sunday. Kinawley entered the game on the back of a fine win over Enniskillen in their last outing but they failed to follow this up against St. Pat's with the Donagh side proving much too strong for Cathal Murphy's side.

St. Pat's are now in pole position to claim top spot with Enniskillen two points back although the Gaels do have a game in hand while Brookeboro can not be ruled out of the race yet as they are only a further two points adrift of Enniskillen with two promotion spots up for grabs.

It would seem though that with the championship approaching, St. Pat's are starting to find form and they put in a terrific performance on Sunday.

An early Pat Cadden goal had put them on their way, Gary Maguire having dispossessed a Kinawley defender and he fed Cadden who fired to ther back of the net.

With the breeze at their backs, the Donagh side stretched their advantage due to points from Eamon Maguire, Shane McDermott and Pat Cadden with Kinawley's sole response in the half arriving via a Ciaran Melanophy point from play to leave it 1-05 to 0-01 at the break.

The second half saw St. Pat's push home their superiority. Eamon Maguire was to tag on a further five points for his side while Michael McGrade also chipped in with a couple. The impressive McDermott was to add to his point in the first half with another in the second and Pat Cadden was also to knock over a couple of scores for the home side.

Kinawley landed five points in the second half which all came from the boot of Shaun Doherty, a mixture of points from play and frees, but these were only consolation scores as St. Pat's ran out comfortable victors.
