New 2012 Gear To Look Out For!
Drivers
The TaylorMade R11, Callaway's RAZR Hawk, Srixon's enhanced AD333 - these were just some of the exciting products to hit the shelves and fairways in 2011.
Now, as we enter a new year, what can we expect from golf's big boys over the coming months?
Already there is a plethora of exciting products that were launched at the very end of last year and have just been have been announced now. This week we will reviewing some of the leading drivers on offer.
Callaway RAZR Fit
Callaway's new RAZR Fit driver is the company's first fully adjustable driver and features OptiFit Technology, allowing you to adjust the face angle in open, square and closed positions at address to improve accuracy and trajectory.
The RAZR Fit, as used by the longest driver on tour Alvaro Quiros, features revolutionary material in the crown that's lighter and stronger than titanium and allows engineers to precisely control thickness, resulting in an optimum centre of gravity and high MOI.
Speed Frame Technology, a new combination of Callaway's VFT (Variable Face Thickness) and Hyperbolic Face Technology, creates a large sweet spot, high ball speeds and consistent long distances, while new Streamlined Surface Technology makes the club head 27% more aerodynamically efficient than its predecessor the RAZR Hawk, creating higher impact speeds.
TaylorMade R11S and
RocketBallz
TaylorMade has launched two new Drivers for 2012 breaking new boundaries in its technology advances.
This year will see an entirely redesigned R11S, being touted as TaylorMade's most advanced driver ever. NexCOR technology ups speed limits across the clubface for the widest range of players through a new speed-expanding multi-face thickness design. The NexCOR infinity design creates a bridge for ultra-thin, ultra-hot faces and unmatched ball speed from every club in the bag.
