The Lakeland open was won by Castle Hume 4 handicapper Richard Moore with 79 points over the two day event. The event is played on the Enniskillen Golf Club and the Castle Hume Golf Club. Richard scored 40 points on the Enniskillen course to put himself in contention and with the weather turning blustery on day two Richard played very well to gather another 39 points.

In second place, narrowly missing out, was another 4 handicapper Mark Beckett. With 37 points on day one, Mark knew he had to make a push at Castle Hume. Mark put together 20 points on each side of the course giving him a total of 77 points and sealing second spot overall.

In third place was Keith Graham also on 77 points, Keith scored a strong 41 points at the Enniskillen club but found Castle Hume a little harder scoring 36 points, missing out on second due to a count back.

There were 16 prizes handed out during the prize giving evening which was held at Castle Hume Golf Club. Mr Richard Heap, Castle Hume club captain, welcomed everyone to the prize giving and thanked everybody for all the hard work which made the competition a success once again.

The Ladies Lakeland Open winner was Gladys Fisher.
