Enniskillen swimmer Chelsey Wilson has made the Northern Ireland team for the Commonwealth Games after achieving the qualifying time in the 200m Backcrawl on Sunday last.
The Enniskillen Lakelanders swimmer has been working hard for the past number of years to achieve this goal and will now travel to Delhi where she will represent Northern Ireland and indeed Fermanagh at the games which commence on October 3.
Chelsey will definitely swim in the 200m Backcrawl in Delhi and joins a Northern Ireland swimming team of seven and will be Fermanagh's only participant at the Games.
Chelsey was named in the final batch of selections for the team named this week and while she may have cut it fine in terms of qaulification, that ability to prodcue a top time when required will serve her well in Delhi.
The Devenish College student was delighted to make the team and will now intensify her preparations ahead of the games.
Chelsey won two golds at last year's Commonwealth Youth Games which were also held in India.
