Susannah Hughes Jordan (right) was selected for the Ulster under 18 team to participate in the annual interprovincial tournament. The inter provincials are played at under 14 and under 18 level and feature the top juniors from each province.

The Enniskillen junior has played at under 14 level in 2007 and was chosen to represent Ulster this year after a sparkling season saw her climb to the top of the Ulster rankings.

This year's event was held at the Hilden Racquets Club in Lisburn and featured a mixture of singles and doubles matches between the competing provinces. Teams were made up of five boys and five girls and old friendships and rivalries were rekindled on and off the court over the course of the two days.

Susannah won two singles matches against Munster and Connaught before losing to the Leinster number one in her final match.

Her opponent in this tie was Grainne O'Neill who has represented Ireland in the Federation cup and was undoubtedly the player of the event.

Leinster were the ultimate winners of the tournament with Ulster finishing second after two days of hard fought tennis involving 40 juniors. The cup for winning the tournament was presented by George Lucas, the president of Ulster Branch Tennis, to the victorious Lenister team captain Grainne O'Neill.
