The specially designed stage set adds the finishing touch to what will be a great show creating the atmosphere of that real American Country Music show experience.

BADLY CUT FRINGE WITH TERRY MCHUGH On Saturday at 9pm in the Gallery Bar The Ardhowen presents one great night of comedy featuring three exclusive brand new shows from some of Northern Ireland’s hottest stand ups. ‘Badly Cut Fringe’ delivers a mini festival chock full of laughs all under the one roof.

Fresh off the Edinburgh fringe stage, Rory McSwiggan has been delighting crowds over in Scotland with his new show ‘Rory McSwiggan: Wants Nothing to Do With Himself’. As a performer he has ‘A wonderful way with words’ (Voicebox Comedy, Belfast) and does a mean job of improvised songs on any topic. He’s a regular all over the Northern Irish circuit and also a performer with cult improvisational art group ‘Barbed’. Rory’s show deals with the difficulties of getting up in the morning, growing up at the height of the troubles and the wonderful world of apps.

Acerbic regular MC of Masons Comedy Club, 2013 Comedian of Culture, Bobby Best, returns with his second full length show ‘Critical Condition.’ The show is a state of the union address about Bobby’s impending fatherhood and all of the craziness that it entails. Bobby was a finalist in the all-Ireland Craic Attack comedy search and also can regularly be heard talking all things nerdy on the 2D podcast.

Headline act of the night is the brilliant Terry McHugh, also just back from the Fringe Festival presenting his amazing new show ‘Stand Up By Me’.

In Terry’s short years of stand up he’s amassed an amazing amount of gigs and has recently opened for Patrick Kielty on his ‘Home’ tour and it’s easy to see why. A natural born story teller and disgruntled Belfast man transposed to Omagh, there’s nothing he can’t turn a funny eye to.

Whether it is accidentally getting his tweets read out in Stormont to becoming the best extra ever on Game of Thrones. Terry’s show is a must.

After a month’s workout at Edinburgh the gang are fighting fit and excited to flex their comedy muscles for a local audience. Patrons are warned, this is stand-up comedy and you can expect plenty of laughs but also some strong language and adult content, therefore this performance is suitable for over 18s only.

I DO NOT LIKE THEE, DR. FELL In his hugely popular first play ‘I Do Not Like Thee, Dr. Fell’ which premiered at the Abbey in 1979, playwright Bernard Farrell mercilessly exposes the simmering jealousies and deceptions among the hapless members of a self-help encounter group.

While urged to express ‘total honesty’ for its positive therapeutic value, the youngest member of the group exposes individual participants’ lies and prejudices to devastating comic effect and leaves the audience wondering who the clients were and who was truly in charge of the session.

‘I Do Not Like Thee, Dr. Fell’ has become of the most performed plays in Ireland over the past twenty five years. Due to the adult content, this thought-provoking yet very funny play presented by Knocks Drama Group on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11, at 8pm, is deemed suitable for over 16s.

THE INDIANS IN CONCERT On Saturday, September 12, at 8pm don’t miss the chance to see one of the longest established and most entertaining showbands in Ireland.

The Indians won the hearts and the support of followers from all over these islands and beyond, performing a broad range of music from the 1970’s onwards.

Lead singer ‘Big Chief’ Raymond Kelly (Geronimo) will be accompanied by Eamonn Keane (Sitting Bull) on keyboards, accordion and vocals; Kevin McKeown (Long Arrow) on drums and vocals; Brian Woodfull (Crazy Horse) on bass guitar and vocals; and Tommy Hopkins (Dull Knife) on lead guitar and vocals.

Performing on stage with the band will be special guest the original ‘Big Chief’, Flaming Star, Noel Brady.

This colourful, lively and unique stage show is sure to please their many fans as well as those who will be seeing them for the first time.
