IT’S time to put on the platform shoes and flares again when The Bjorn Identity re-create the magic of ABBA at The Ardhowen on Friday and the talented young performers from the O’Brien School of Drama perform ‘A Time Traveller’s Tale’ on Saturday.

THE BJORN IDENTITY On Friday at 8pm, The Bjorn Identity, Ireland’s premier ABBA tribute show, returns to The Ardhowen. After last year’s sell out concert, they continue to exceed all expectations with their live and authentic ‘ABBA in concert’ experience. Audiences of all ages can discover and re-live the magic of the Swedish Super Group and the musical legacy that lives on with hits such as ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Super Trouper’, ‘Fernando’ and ‘Waterloo’.

With stunning replica costumes and all the glitz of the 70’s, this two hour show features the greatest hits of ABBA including songs from the hit musical ‘Mamma Mia’. The group will also be performing with a special guest choir from Enniskillen Model Primary School.

A TIME TRAVELLER’S TALE For one night only this showcase production marks the culmination of 10 weeks of hard work for the students of the first-ever performance skills summer camp offered by the O’Brien School of Drama in association with Borderline Players. Directed by Siobhan O’Brien and Nicole Beaumont and featuring young performers aged between 4 and 16 years, ‘A Time Traveller’s Tale’ is a journey through the magical world of stage musicals, with short comedy-sketch and drama interludes.

Don’t miss this evening of show-stopping song and dance routines and performances from the stars of tomorrow on Saturday at 8pm.

VICTOR’S DUNG The Fermanagh Live Arts Festival welcomes Seamus O’Rourke back to The Ardhowen for another hilarious performance on Friday, October 2, at 8pm.

Actor, playwright, director, Leitrim man, Seamus O’Rourke, has become well known in the theatre world for tackling serious contemporary social issues through humour and with the help of some very quirky but recognisable rural Irish characters. O’Rourke’s much loved comedy, ‘Victor’s Dung’, is set in a farm yard complete with its very own dung heap, outdoor toilet and rather poor broadband reception. The bold Victor Maguire is a crude, vulgar, abrupt, un-PC Cavan farmer who gets a surprise one Friday morning. Take a whirlwind journey through Victor’s somewhat sad and unconventional life, meeting up with many a strange bucko along the way. Patrons should note; this production contains some strong language.
