GERRY Guthrie comes to the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown on Saturday.
He has just released a new single, an update of ‘Don’t She Look Good’, to a appeal to modern audiences as a jive tune.
The new release was recorded at Spout Studio in Granard, County Longford. He put his own stamp on this recording by ingeniously including brass in the arrangement, plus saxophone played by renowned musicians and bandsmen, Henry McMahon and Martin Campbell and to further enhance the richness of the sound he also included trombone and trumpet.
The new song will be performed along with many others when he takes to the stage at the Valley this weekend.
