The Aisling Centre is honoured to present a solo recital from world renowned, mezzo-soprano Ruby Philogene (pictured) at their 25th Anniversary Giving Hope Gala in the Lough Erne Hotel on Friday, October 23. Ruby Philogene was awarded an MBE for her services to music and has sung in opera, oratio and recital across England, Europe and the US with some of the best conductors, orchestras, accompanists and singers in the world. Ruby whose repertoire is very diverse and ranges from the baroque era to contemporary is no stranger to Enniskillen having performed at the Beckett Festival since its inception. She is making the trip from Paris to Enniskillen to support the Aisling Centre in recognition of the valuable work they do in the community.

Speaking on behalf of the Gala organising committee, Joanna McVey said: “Ruby is delighted to be able to perform for such a wonderful cause in a place that means so much to her”. And with a reputation for powerful and moving performance this recital is a treat not to be missed.

Ruby will be accompanied by talented local pianist Matthew Murphy. Matthew has just completed his studies at St Michaels College and will be well known to the congregations of St Michael’s Church and St Macartin’s Cathedral Enniskillen where he is the organist. Matthew is currently enjoying a gap year before he resumes his studies and undoubtable has a great future in front of him.
