Tomorrow (Friday) night, Level Seven at the Hollow will host a benefit gig and DJ session to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

DEC works as an umbrella agency which works with 13 separate charities, including Oxfam, Christian Aid, Concern, Help The Aged and Save The Children, and its latest appeal is targeted at helping to relieve some of the catastrophic devastation endured by the people of Haiti. To date, the DEC has successfully raised more than £77 million which has been used to establish regular feeding programmes, water distribution and provide medical assistance.

Local acts Red, Anthony Breen, Mario Ledwith, Jamie, Yellow Car No Return, Shakedown and Big Mac will each be playing in hopes to fund more of the DEC's work in Haiti. To make your own contribution to the appeal, you can help by coming along to the benefit at Level Seven on Friday. Doors open at 8pm and music will continue from 8:30 until 1:30am, and a charity raffle will be held during the proceedings. Admission is £4 and further donations are more than welcome, with all proceeds going to the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal. This event is over 18s only and I.D. will be required.
