It's the turn of Ben Sands, Patsy O'Hagan and Maranna McCloskey to entertain us this Friday night, July 16 at 8pm, in a wonderful family holiday show entitled 'Songs, Tunes and Tall Tales'. It's a night of song and story that's designed to entertain and delight, and ideal for this holiday time.
Clubsound's 40th Anniversary tour of Northern Ireland is in full swing and this Saturday 17th July it takes to the Ardhowen stage. One of the foremost showband and cabaret acts over the last few decades, it's a night of song, fun and cabaret as George Jones and the boys take you through all their great comedy and musical routines including 'Shankill Airways' and the immortal 'Ballymour Grousebeaters'. A great night of nostalgia, music and craic.
Cupid Wore Skirts
Belvoir Players are a key part of Ardhowen Theatre's Summer Comedy Season each year and this year they bring Sam Cree's comedy, 'Cupid Wore Skirts' to the stage for three performances from Thursday 22 to Saturday July 24 at 8pm. The story surrounds Belfast antique dealer Andrew Coulter who lives with his elderly father and teenage son Brian. His married daughter Daphne comes in every day to take care of the men and ensure they are coping.
However, when Daphne becomes pregnant she fears her male relatives' ability to cope. Andrew's sister-in-law, who also is concerned, makes a wager that Andrew couldn't get a new wife within a fortnight. Andrew places an advert in the paper for a new wife and here the mayhem starts. So for a fun night out at the theatre, don't miss this laugh laden comedy.
Abigail's Party
The Summer fun continues when Southbank Playhouse bring Mike Leigh's comedy 'Abigail's Party' to the Theatre for three performances from Thursday 29 to Saturday July 31. This comedy masterpiece where neighbours come over to party, hits as close to home as ever, reminding us of disasters we may have had in similar circumstances over the years. Hilarious!
